Yep! Like what the picture suggests, back pain is mostly caused by our seating position. The posture to the right (the 135-degree posture) is what most researches suggest as it places less strain on the discs and associated muscles. I remember how those nosy teachers always made us sit in a 90-degree posture when I was in junior high. This posture inflicts a high rate of wear and tear to the lowest two spinal levels as it is has to deal with nearly all our body weight. If you think this is all, think twice; our foot wear choices, the chairs we use, height of the pillows, bed and body weight plays an important role in causing back pain as well. If you have none of these problems and still have back pain, it's crucial that you visit a physician as it might be related to some structural abnormalities in the spine. Still, these spinal problems are only seen in a minority of people with back pain, as most back pains are caused by poor lifestyle choices and wrong posture. I hate to say this, but there is no permanent solution to back pain. I have seen many people go for surgeries and curse themselves for doing that. There are many exercises to control back pains, I think it's the best solution for all normal back pains; go ahead and research more about them if you have to. It never hurts to make some changes in our lifestyle.
