Thanks to our immunizations, small pox and polio are certainly not the most deadly diseases these days. Children who are not immunized are a haven for these diseases. I think that even the literate part of humanity are ignorant of what these vaccines are; and some of them think that it's unnecessary in most cases. Actually vaccines are just weakened forms of specific diseases that could kill people. It stimulate our immune system and produce antibodies capable of attacking the virus or bacteria. There are immunizations for hepatitis B, diphtheria, tetanus, polio,  mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox) and many other diseases. What most people are concerned about is the general side-effects from these immunizations. Provided that the procedure is done by qualified people, there are no serious side-effects to immunizations. A mild fever, small soreness or redness and irritability at the injection site are the maximum of all side effects reported. Do not forget about what immunizations did for us! Immunizations have reduced the mortality rate among children; they have reduced meningitis and other blood diseases related to pneumoccus bacteria. Also, while polio vaccines are popular, other immunizations are ignored in most cases. I believe that most of us don't even know how many immunizations we can get for our kids. It's not about finding the bad in immunizations; it's about how it promotes the growth of a healthy child. Unfortunately, even now, there are many kids who have to use crutches to walk because of not being immunized against polio. Even now? Depending upon the country and region, both the kids and adults can benefit from these immunizations. And most adults are ignorant when it comes to vaccines; some even fear injections. Is it better to get a serious disease than taking an injection?
